Visit Our New Exton Office!

Barry Silverman

If you live in the Philly suburbs, we're happy to announce a new office to visit us. Our Acupuncture and Massage practice is spreading further west, to Exton, and managed by Kelly Boggs and Lisa Lauer. We sat down recently to learn more about each practitioner, their wellness journeys and the services they offer.

Massage Therapy
Lisa Lauer, LMT

Lisa's Credentials: I graduated from Cortiva Institue in May of 2013.  My training includes Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, pre and post natal massage, sports massage, therapeutic massage, craniosacral therapy, and Reiki.  Prior to becoming a licensed massage therapist, I earned my BA of Science from East Stroudsburg University for Education.

Lisa's Journey to Wellness: I was an elementary/special education teacher for 10 years.  During this time, I struggled with chronic headaches, anxiety, unexplained muscle aches, and GI issues. The traditional treatments from doctors were ineffective.  I knew I had to find a better way to take care of my body and mind. I am forever grateful for discovering the benefits of massage and Reiki while searching for a natural way to alleviate my symptoms.

New Treatment Options: I will also be adding Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy to my therapies in the next few weeks.  Ashiatsu means foot pressure and is inspired by Eastern massage techniques.  It is an effective treatment for neck and back pain and overall muscle tension. This treatment is performed on a massage table.  I support myself using bars suspended from the ceiling and apply deep foot pressure to specific points along the spine and body for maximum muscle compression.  If you like deep tissue massage, you will love this treatment!

Lisa Believes: Massage and energy healing have the ability to improve your life physically, emotionally, and spiritually. There’s nothing I would rather be doing for my life’s work than to facilitate this improvement for my clients.

Acupuncture
Kelly Boggs, L.Ac.

Kelly's Credentials: I received my BS in Biology and Chemistry from DePaul University, Chicago and my Master's of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from The South East Institute of Oriental Medicine.  I am board certified by the National Certification Committee for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in both acupuncture and herbal medicine, and am licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine. I began practicing Oriental Medicine while living in Miami in 2005.

Kelly's Approach: My background in western medicine allows me to effectively integrate western medicine with eastern strategies to create better outcomes.

Kelly's Specialties: My focus and passion is fertility and women's health, but my practice also includes pediatrics, allergies and pain management of all types. I have set up the Exton office to provide both private and community style acupuncture.

Something most people don't know about Kelly: I used to work on the Chicago Fire Department as a Fire Paramedic.
