Acupuncture with Friends
Acupuncture with Friends
We’re offering a new way to spend time with your friends – yoga and needles! Whether you’re looking for a fun activity for a bachelorette party, a relaxing girl’s night or a bonding experience for your work team, Acupuncture with Friends is a unique opportunity to relax, rejuvenate and have some fun.
We book parties for groups of up to eight people, where you will experience a yoga class with certified yoga instructor and office manager Ilana Leib, focusing on therapeutic yoga instruction and a restorative acupuncture session where our acupuncturist and co-founder, Steve Mavros, will customize the treatment for whatever you’re seeking. All of this is while spending time with your friends in a peaceful and intimate setting at our Rittenhouse Square Community Acupuncture Center. Depending on the size of your group, we will either break you into two smaller groups, or have everyone patricipate in each activity at the same time.
We customize your Acupuncture with Friends party to suit your unique needs – providing champagne for the more festive occasions, juice mixes and water for a more detoxifying experience, and goody bags and healthy snacks for everyone.
Pricing starts at $400 (determined by number of guests)

FAQs
Where is your Community Acupuncture Center? We are located just off Rittenhouse Square, at 2012 Walnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
Is there parking close by? There is a paid parking lot just before you reach the office, to your left at the corner of 20th and Walnut Streets. There is also a bus stop directly in front of the office and the closest train stop is Suburban Station at 17th and Market.
How long do parties last? Depending on your group size, the parties range from 1.5 hours - 2 hours and then you are allowed to hang out, enjoy snacks and drinks for up to another 30 minutes.
Are we allowed to bring in our own props/snacks/drinks? Yes! For example, if you’re planning a bachelorette party and the bride has a favorite drink, feel free to bring it.
What is included in the goody bags? While it may differ from party-to-party, we typically include some herbal teas, a cooling towel, a coupon for Athleta and a coupon for your next acupuncture session at The Healing Arts Center!
Does Acupuncture hurt? In short, no. You may feel a small twinge in some of the acu-points and in some cases, you may see a small bruise afterwards, but often times you won’t even feel the needles.
What level is the yoga class for? Ilana provides a class that will meet your group wherever they are. Yoga beginners to yoga experts are welcome. Ilana's expertise is in therapeutic yoga instruction, often with a relaxing, down-regulating feel, but she is happy to turn up the energy and heat if that’s what the group is feeling!
What should we wear? Wear a suitable outfit for practicing yoga – clothing that is not too loose fitting but comfortable. If you know you want Steve to work on a certain part of your body be sure to wear something that is easily accessible to that area.
Do we need to bring in our own yoga mats? We can provide yoga mats for up to 4 people. If your group is larger, you will need to bring your own mats.
